My first exploration with the procreate pocket app was a photograph I had taken a while back, Orange Isolation and I began to choose brushes and gradients to create the piece First Azalea... I was so pleased with the experience on the small screen, that I had to have Procreate for my iPad; and thus, the foundation of my artwork started to take form.
I get great joy using procreate because it allows me to unleash my creativity in many ways. The brush settings allow the feel and look of an actual brush, pen, pencil, etc. Many pieces, like The Tree of Life and Warhol Tribute, take form through a variety of curated blends, finishes and color studies, some of which can be viewed on my social properties as vibrant animations
If there is a specific color, blend or finish that you do not see in the gallery, please do not hesitate to contact me to explore options to create your own experience. Some styles may be available and if its not, never fear! I’d be thrilled to customize a piece (or three) for you at no extra cost*.
Recently I have begun painting with oils on canvas and those studies, explorations and final works will also be available to view on my social properties and in the gallery as they are completed.
Inspired and curious about commissioned pieces? I am happy to explore your custom vision, but first complete the commission form found on the Contact page. If you feel too constrained by a form you can send your thoughts or sketches to me directly at: concepts@anthonyspearsart.com.
* There is no extra charge for customizing works that already come in a variety of blends/finishes only.

This piece was created on my iPhone 6 Plus in about fifteen minutes using Procreate Pocket. I chose my photograph 'Orange Singularity' to test the app out. This quick digital painting rekindled my passion for art, so I decided to use it as inspiration for my logo.
This is my interpretation of the tree of life. the roots are the blood vessels of the human heart and the foliage of the tree resembles the shape of a brain. As the roots of the tree supply the trunk and foliage with life giving nutrients and water, our hearts supply blood and oxygen to our brains. There are 15 versions of this piece available. Size: 24" x 32".
Triquetra comes from the latin "tri" and "quetras" meaning three cornered. It is also known as the trinity knot representing triplicities such as: the triple goddess; holy trinity; mind, body, spirit; air, water, earth; past, present, future; and the four triplicities of the zodiac chart. I chose to create a version with an interlaced circle as it represents the bond between the three designated elements. There are several versions of this piece, I've only uploaded 13 versions here. Size: 28" x 22".
This piece was created by offsetting circles layered on top of one another, then I used different blending filters to create the final piece. To achieve the textured effect, I drew individual rectangles and overlayed them using a blending filter. I created several versions of this piece, but only displaying 16 here. Size: 36" x 36".
I created the N'MOTION Series as artwork for a book of poetry titled N'MOTION by my friend, Mo Chase. You can find the hardcover, paperback or audio versions here.
This was my first attempt at a hyper realistic eye sketch.
For this piece I used Orange Singularity as the base and then painted it in six other colors and used various blending filters to create unique looking azaleas. I chose my favorite versions and created individual backgrounds for each and laid them out into the larger final piece. Size: 30" x 37.5"..
These are my designs of the 12 zodiac symbols. The zodiac is offset to either the left or the right with the sign's attributed elemental symbol behind it and centered with the name of the zodiac and the date range offset opposite of the symbol. The backgroud color is representative of the zodiac's attributed element. For the air signs, I chose to use a light purple as opposed to grey for the background, I wanted them to feel more vibrant as opposed to drab. The backgrounds as well as the elements have a metal look to them. If you would like a different color for the background, that can be arranged. Size: 24" x 18".
